Congratulations to the screenwriting team! Hiding in the Spotlight proves itself once again as a compelling screenplay based on the true story of Zhanna and Frina Arshanskaya. Child prodigies in Ukraine as the Nazis tore through their city of Kharkov. These two young girls defied the odds when their father Dmitri bribed a guard to let his daughters jump out of the line as the rest of the family was led to their deaths by gunfire. All the way from the killing field of Drobitsky Yar and into the troupe of performers for the Third Reich, hiding their Jewish identities and outwitting their enemy, they survived. Best Feature Drama at the Nova Film Fest? We shall see!
